We’re always looking to expand our A-Team team:

  • The Spa Director will be a leader and direct report for all location-based Absolutely Fabulous Spa employees. This includes close mentoring, coaching, guiding and training, as well as providing the necessary tools and materials for every employee to succeed per their job description. The Spa Director is responsible for maintaining outstanding standards of guest service and efficient operating of the reception desk and appointment book, as well as overall functions of the spa, including operational issues.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Experienced at exceeding sales goals, have exceptional Customer Service skills, and are proactive communicators able to build lasting relationships with members, guests, and team members.

    • Smart and experienced with at least two years of prior background in management, marketing, or sales, with Med Spa experience preferred.

    • Provides excellent guest service and monitors guest feedback. Supervises and follows up on guest requests and comments.

    •Born leaders who can motivate, coach, influence, and inspire and who aren't afraid to have tough conversations.

    • Ensures that financial goals are attained by developing and implementing a retail sales plan.

    • Develops and maintains accurate maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.

    • Creates a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service demands.

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree or comparable spa management experience.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    •Proficient in spa software Meevo2, Touch MD, Med Spa EMR systems and Google products a plus.

    • Knowledge of professional spa treatments, products, and systems.

    • Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems.

    • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.

  • The Assistant Spa Director is responsible for assisting the Spa Director in the day-to-day responsibilities in the Spa as well as responsible for maintaining a high standard of excellence within the spa team. They are highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to keep track of multiple moving parts to support the Absolutely Fabulous brand. They also value integrity and leading by example, are a natural people-person, and will provide an extraordinary experience for Absolutely Fabulous Spa member

    The principle duties for the Assistant Spa Director will include, but are not limited to:

    OPERATIONS

    • Oversee and assist in managing all aspects of spa operations.

    • Consistently creates a friendly environment for our guests by greeting and assisting as well as quickly responding to customer questions and needs.

    • Maintains quality service by enforcing organizational standards.

    • Organize Daily Huddles and manage Scoreboard Daily.

    • Co-manage team member schedules with the Spa Director.

    •Inventory and supply management and assisting with weekly orders.

    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the spa facilities and working operation of all Spa equipment.

    • Participate in interviewing and hiring Spa Associates.

    • Local Marketing

    LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

    • Provides strong leadership presence by demonstrating desired behavior for staff including a focus on membership sales, customer service, cash management, retail sales, member retention, staff interaction, and follow-up with guests.

    • Identifies training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed.

    • Roleplay with each Spa Associate to sharpen skills.

    • Train Front Desk Associates to required processes.

    COMMUNICATION/MEETINGS

    • Send Weekly updates to Spa Associates providing prior week conversion rates, highlights for the week, and tips for improving and relevant information.

    • Collaborate with Spa Director in monthly Spa Associate check-ins and quarterly reviews to cover prior month results and set goals for the new month.

    • Collaborate with Spa Director in developing content and participating in regular meetings with the Spa Associate team.

    SALES

    • Know and track all key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the Spa and each Spa Therapist.

    • Assist with developing and administering sales contests and initiatives.

    • Assists in setting and achieving membership and retail sales goals.

    GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Be on time for your shift.

    • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality no-compromise work environment.

    • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.

    • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention.

    • Work with peers to solve problems and promote teamwork.

    • Ability to identify and problem solve, set expectations, goals, and delegate.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.

    • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.

    • Must be enthusiastic, personable, and ambitious.

    • Ability to work a minimum of 34-40 hours per week.

    • Mindbody Software experience a plus.

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Qualified individuals must have 2 years’ front desk customer service; Spa or hospitality environment is preferred.

    • Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills.

    • Must be able to lead and motivate.

    • Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task.

    • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong computer skills are required.

    • Appointment booking software knowledge preferred.

    • Ability to analyze the needs of guests.

    • Must be comfortable with verbal discussions and answering questions.

    • Basic knowledge of math, cash handling, and credit card processing.

    • Ability to stay composed and calm and have strong interpersonal skills while handling difficult Guests, courteously, and professionally.

  • The Guest Relations Specialist is responsible for aiding in the day-to-day responsibilities in the Spa, being the first and last smiling and enthusiastic person that guests encounter with AFS. They are highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to keep track of multiple moving parts to support the AFS brand. They also value connection and community, are a natural people-person and will provide an extraordinary experience for AFS members and guests.

    The principal duties for the Guest Relations Specialist will include, but are not limited to:

    • Represent AFS in a positive, professional manner at all times and demonstrate AFS core values.

    • Answer phone calls & respond to general inquiries in a timely & professional manner, schedule guests in accordance to AFS standards, complete follow-up calls, & engage with guests.

    • Maintain a clean & pristine spa environment

    • Become familiar with all regular services and products to aid in educating all current and prospective guests on all AFS offerings.

    • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.

    • Assist with achieving sales initiatives for AFS as well as growing and promoting AFS as a company.

    • Taking part in inventory management

    • Work with peers to solve problems and promote teamwork.

    Required Competencies and Skills

    • Qualified individuals must have 1+ years’ reception or guest relations experience

    • Strong computer skills are required.

    • Ability to quickly identify and solve problems while maintaining a positive & professional demeanor.

    • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.

    • Must be enthusiastic & personable; efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.

    • Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task.

  • The Esthetician administers professional facials, waxing services, and a selection of body treatments to our guests.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide consistent professional facial and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.

    • Perform 30, 60, and 90-minute facial services.

    • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.

    • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.

    • Actively prescribe home care regimens, meeting minimum retail to service sales goals of 30% in the first year, and 40% after completion of one year.

    • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.

    • Adhere to Absolutely Fabulous room and spa standards by performing prep work and properly clean and restock room as required.

    • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.

    • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.

    • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

    • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision and contribute to a culture of peer accountability.

    • Maintain a positive attitude and uphold company core values.

    • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.

    • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

    • Follow up with a minimum of 16 guests per month via e-mail or phone.

    • May be required to fill in for front desk shifts as needed and will be trained to check out guests.

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

    This position must hold and maintain a current Texas state esthetics license.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, have excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques.

    • Possess ability to work without direct supervision and contribute to a culture of peer accountability.

    • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.

    • Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.

    • Capacity and commitment to learning product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    This position has no supervisory responsibility.

    REQUIRED SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED

    • All skincare services on the menu unless otherwise determined by the Spa Director.

    • All wax services, including all body waxing (Brazilian, modified- Brazilian and bikini waxing) unless otherwise determined by Spa Director.

    • All body treatments unless otherwise determined by Spa Director.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Repeat same movements.

    • Use their hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.

    • Use fingers to grasp, move or assemble very small objects.

    • Use one or two hands to grasp, move or assemble objects.

    • Able to lift at least 50 lbs
